Van Cortlandt Park, named after the famed residents of the Van Cortlandt House, is a 1,146 acre park of pristine, scenic beauty. The large park features the historic 18th century home, a lake, a swimming pool, the 18-hole Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course and the Mosholu Golf Course. It also has facilities dedicated to baseball, basketball, tennis, football and soccer and features a number of scenic walking and exercise trails. The park is located in the Bronx, west of Wave Hill.
